Advanced and Adaptable
The MTZ Hanging Basket System is the most advanced and adaptable hanging basket system on the market. The design of the Hanging Basket System (HBS) allows for many variations. It is designed to:
- make 90 & 180 degree corners,
- raise and lower for loading and unloading,
- adapt to various irrigation systems and can be programmed to function automatically.
This makes the MTZ Hanging Basket System a most preferable system. Almost anything is possible with it.
Layout design
Design of the track layout can be adapted to almost any imaginable configuration. Some of the many possibilities in which the track can be built are shown in the PowerPoint Presentation (click this link).
Motor Drives
Depending on the layout of the greenhouse, the number of motors can be minimized. In the example graphics, found in our PowerPoint presentatiion, only one motor is used. Depending on the number of corners, one motor can power up to 1600’ of track!
Up and Down!
No more climbing up and down ladders, standing on mono rail systems or reaching up with basket pickers. Lower the baskets down with the lowering unit when ready to load, clean or ship them! Raise the system up again when task is completed.
Three methods of irrigation
- By means of a shower nozzle.
- By means of funnels 0.3L (10 OZ).
- With a balanced basket watering system, scaled by weight.
Adjustable spacing
The MTZ Hanging Basket System is adaptable to various pot sizes and allows the maximum number of plants in the system. 6,8,10 or 12” baskets can all be hung from the system, either at the same time or in different stages. Spacing of basket hooks can be customized to meet specific customer needs. Staggered configuration of hooks, either double or triple hung is possible with this system.
Durable
This system is functional and easy to maintain. Features:
- a strong and durable self-supporting track,
- engineered and constructed to be both light weight and strong,
- few parts and less wear,
- chain is self lubricated
Controller
A user friendly color touch screen controller allows for easy navigation between watering, loading, shipping and spraying. The controller’s many useful options are:
- A count of the baskets on the system allows for the different watering options.
- The system is capable of returning to a “home” position. Watering, loading and unloading can begin and end in the same position.
- The system will communicate with a code when maintenance is required.
Safe an reliable chain!
The MTZ Hanging Basket System has an enclosed chain that slides through a durable sliding insert.
- A safe system for employees.
- No plant damage will occur if the system malfunctions, i.e chain breakage.
